Hammer Shout Out to Weatherby

Excellent!! As a Shooter, Owner of several Weatherby Rifles and a retired Senior Product Manager, your story is a classic!! Good for both companies, great for the shooters. !!! Thank you for this update.

There are better/just as good options anyway. Too much 'tude to get my money.
dont know you, but unless you have met, spent some time with steve and brien you know nothing. they are friendly, helpful, humorous and dedicated to making gr8 bullets. i personally love the monos and have shot and hunted with many of them. barnes ttsx have been my bullet of choice for 20 years, but the hh are more accurate, and end performance is just as good in my rifles. my kudos to Hammer!

It will be interesting to see if they go with the standard twist barrel and a light for caliber bullet at warp speed or a faster twist to shoot the heavier monos and get more range out of it. I run a 143 HH out of a 7 RUM a bit over 3,600 fps but it's a 700 yard gun, after that the speed runs out.
Congratulations on your new partnership !
It is difficult to start manufacturing rifles in old cartridges with new fast twist barrels. Problem is the guy with the old rifle will try new ammo not understanding his slow twist barrel will not stabilize the new long bullets. This is why you see the creedmoor show up. Or the 6.8 Western. New cartridge with faster twist barrels and no mix up with ammo.

Plan now is to run as heavy as we can with current lines as well as push Roy's high speed dreams possibly further than he thought. I see some 257 Wby running 3700 fps in the near future.

New cartridges with faster twist could be a possibility too. We will see.
Which Hammer bullets do they use for the 300 Weatherby. I sure love the 300. On my second one. wore the first one totally out. Sure enjoyed it. Love to shoot it
Right now they are running a 170g Hammer Hunter that we designed specifically for Weatherby.

Self-destructive behavior... More bullets for the rest that appreciate the option. Oh yeah..., thanks for your contribution to the otherwise common cause. Hahaha

Ah, because I don't fall in, I know nothing. Duly noted. I sure didn't see this coming.

Not sure why attitudes have to come to a thread like this. I just don't get it!! I get enough crap on the news everyday and night and come here from some good reading, knowledge, and news about things I enjoy and am passionate about. I hope ALL of you have a great evening. I'm tired of the insults I see here more and more.

Any idea if they're working on a competitor to the 7PRC? I was really hoping they'd beat Hornady to it just to break up the hegemony, no foul to Hornady. Maybe they're just happy without a midweight seven but I had an irrational suspicion they were chasing that.
Highly doubtful
They debuted the 338 rpm ~6 months ago- still no data, ammo et el. Tough time to drop new cartridges when your not hornady or nosler controlling all the pieces.
None of the ammo components are made by wby so they're at the whim of supply chain. Also I heard on their podcast they have no intention of a belt less magnum. They went beltless on the rpm to maximize capacity in their standard action.
