Official 2022 Varmint Post

That's a mighty fine picture of carnage! LOL. The Swift rules in a groundhog field. And that's a mighty good looking Swift rifle, too! What is it? I want to say a Cooper?
Yes sir, Cooper Jackson Game.
I've killed a ton of ground hogs with the 22-250 but the Swift is the king! LOL

I'm jealous! Ive got 3 Cooper's but yours has a killer stock. I'm also jealous that you can still find more than one hog a day. I used to find lots of em down here on SW Va., but no more. They wised up and moved to the city or parks where we can't hunt em. I have 2 farms that I can get maybe two a MONTH! That's why I'm heading out to whack prairie dogs in a week from now. Been doing that for about twelve years now. Fun, fun, fun!

Got this chuck over memorial weekend. Loaded up some 95gr Vmax in a 6.5 CM to try them out. Distance was only 125 yards but with a 30 MPH wind and snow blowing sideways, I was surprised they were out. Saw 4 but only took this one. The others got lucky, my eyes were stinging so much from the wind I wimped out!

Post up some kill pics. Show us those smiles, show us those skills & firearms used. Share with us how to kill more varmints. Show us what can be done with a firearm in the off-season
....... With firearms- dang it, I'm searching microsd card for a 86+ yard squirrel skewered with fixed broad head last day of whitetail season after some clown ripped through draw on four wheeler hour before sundown. Literally surgical prowess entrails laid out 6" behind it ran good 20' before napping.

Blowing snow?? And there's grounghods? Where in the USA are you ? Lol
Here in VA. It's been in the 80s for that weekend.

This was back in Feb. this year. I was testing some new 168 gr ELDM's out of my 308 Win PSS. 200 plus yards in Eastern Oregon.

Same bullet I use in my creed for dogs, makes a mess.

Was a good morning yesterday. Pouring my first cup of coffee in my sleep attire while checking the yard out the window. What do you know two Doves in the yard. Grab the plinker off the table and get the first one. Not easy keeping the bird dog in the open door as #2 does the circle his buddy and land. Nope too much commotion and it flies off. Go get it and take it to throw away, and what do you know my morning is even better! Yep I see ole Squeaky Squirrel didn't make it home last night. I don't know about you I know it will be a good day with a morning like this.
