Just got my March in the mail. Decided on the FX 4.5-28X52 with FML-LDK reticle. Non Illuminated. So far it seems like a well built scope. All the moveable parts, feel excellent to operate. Fit and finish are really nice as well. I don't even the have the gun it's going on yet, so no in the field reviews on glass ect. for a while. But I uploaded a video of the turrets and they are amazing.

I'm looking really hard at the March 2.5-25x52. The only negative I've heard is the low light performance. I believe March has improved their warranty as well. I've never owned one, but that may change soon.

Yes, if they'd get their glass on par with some other players... I'd give them another look. First time I looked through one, I thought it had a dirty lens or something. I really like how small and compact they are.

I've looked hard at that scope, the 3-24X52 & the 3-24X42 as well. The only thing that is keeping me from buying one to test out is the uncapped windage. But I'm VERY close to buying the 3-24X52 after feeling just how robust their turrets really are. I haven't spent much time looking through this scope however. But after using a few of the mid tier optics, I've realized any of that mid tier and up glass is perfectly capable glass. The NX8 had the "worst" glass from what I tested, and it was still great, and easily able to kill an animal before and after legal shooting light.

I am looking at the Compact to save a few ounces. I just hope mounting on an Anti X LA is going to work out.
Yeah, I just figured that what a 10X erector and an even shorter tube, gives up in optical performance wouldn't be worth the difference to me personally. I don't know if there's even an ounce of difference between the two 52mm scopes?

I would like to check them out side by side, I like the low power range due to hunting in eastern woods. i really don't need 25x on top, but may come in handy in clear cuts where you can stretch it out.

Are the 2 piece scope bases machined into the receiver? If not, I would just replace it with a one piece mount.

They are machined in. Very sturdy but not as flexible.
I think you'll be fine. I have a Lone Peak Fuzion TI long action. Small rail milled in on front and rear. And I put a short Leupold mark 5 on it without issue. Have you physically cycled rounds with an Anti X yet? It is a very coarse action due to the deep milling on the bolt.

I did run one at the range a few times. It didn't bother me at all. The only time you could really feel it was when the mag was fully loaded. It cycled great but you could feel it a little.

Okay cool! Just checking! Didn't want you to get caught off guard đź‘Ť
