Even that isn't safe anymore. Scammers are catching on to that and have been just photo shopping that into pictures. There has been a big influx of new members over the last 2 years, due to covid and the scarcity of all shooting components.
Some new members are basically joining to find components at decent prices, others are here to learn and share for the future. It just takes a moment to check out posts on new members you may be dealing with.
I'm with Len, I don't get involved in jumping into buy/sell posts of other members. I and others with any sense can easily step away from posts that stink to high heaven. If it pi--es you off, just ignore them. I try to deal only with members who have been around and contributed knowledge to LRH + have good trader history.
I would like to see Len follow up on the rule to use username and date on sales posts pictures. This has been around for a good while, but most ignore it. Let's see the post removed until they put in user name. It's a good rule, so enforce it.
This is a well run forum thanks to Len, but the membership has the duty to keep their posting within the rules. Sometimes a post will make you shake your head, but just ignore it and move on.
These members you speak of that have been on the forum for a long time are likely smart enough to not get banned. Because, you know, they know the rules and follow them. Just another way to look at it.WOW
Look at this buzz on just one post from a new member about the price of powder. Could get members that were on here for many years and providing good information on shooting/reloading/hunting BANNED because of one new person and then responding emotionally. Every member has a right per se on this forum to post in Classifieds.
I myself made an innocent remark when I first joined about an item for sale. ALMOST GOT BANNED. Len took my explanation into account and let me stay on LRH.
Guys/Gals please limit your responses to be in the guidelines of this Forum. I for one would not want to see someone get banned for a response that was emotional. Especially someone that has and is providing good information. Don't fall into negative responses. There is the option to hit the "Ignore" button. No matter how you feel about another member - DON"T do it.
This is a GREAT Forum and we don't need anything negative. If a member is not within good standards of this community -eventually they will fade away.
Don't get BANNED because of emptions. I have seen some really good/informative members get banned because they took emotions into their posts.
Keep in check. If someone is really not a fit for this forum-they will leave or fade away.
Let's keep all our Good-GREAT members here.

Sorry, but YOU fit nearly every exclusion you mentioned in your post...except for having a minimum of 50 posts...you have 67 posts on LRHI'd like to see a minimum amount of postings to any of the sub-forums related to hunting, shooting anything but selling, before you can sell items on LRH.
This requirement seemed to be in place in many gun-related forums since I've been looking up information from 2008. 25-50 post counts before being allowed to sell. In my opinion, make it more. This forum is an easy avenue for non-dedicated sellers to jump in and out just to sell their wares or potentially scam LRH members. There's no interest in what's available to be learned here, just take advantage of easy selling policies. The scamming of products is a concerning issue. A new member with 3 postings on here is a big, red flag in my opinion, trying to sell products, real or not.
Another criticism I have is the posted requirement of a photographic record of items to be sold. I don't see this rule being followed/enforced. When I first joined last summer, it was. Not now.
I agree with just ignoring the sellers with higher pricing that is considered gouging. It's difficult not to make comments, but no response is an answer. Hopefully they fade away.
