Berger 245 EOL Best Cartridge

I want to build a rifle to shoot the Berger 245 EOL. I've read lots of old threads on the subject, but they were from last year when the bullet was new. Now that the bullet has been out (and unavailable lol) for awhile, is there any consensus on what the best cartridge is for these bullets. I've shot some 245s at 2694 fps from my win mag and see reports of nearly 3000 fps with larger cases. I'm looking at the rum and prc the most, but will consider anything really. All the options on 30 cal magnums is kind of overwhelming. I'd like to keep the barrel length on the shorter side - 24" or maybe 26" max. Wind drift is my primary concern in ballistics. It's easy to adjust for gravity. What would you chamber it in? Why? What velocity would you expect? Barrel twist?

Thanks!
The 300 norma imp 40° will be what I push the 245 bergers with.

300 Norma improved.

For max velocity from a standard type action, make a single feed 300 RUM. If you want a repeater, standard type action, with max velocity, and don't mind a semi wildcat, do a 30 Sherman Magnum (300 PRC improved). If your ok with getting a custom action and want a repeater, then make a 300 Norma. If you don't mind fireforming or wildcats, and your ok with a custom action, and want top velocity, get a 300 Norma Mag improved. If you don't mind a custom action, don't mind possibly single feeding, and want all out top performance, make either a 30-338 Lapua improved. Also on a larger action, 30-378 Weatherby is an option if you don't mind Weatherby cartridges.
or a 30 XC.

I had a 7-2oz 338 NM,built 11 years ago,Defiance,proof 26,lonewolf summit.So id go 300 NM. or NMI

So did you shoot the 30 Sherman mag before you did the +P on it? Just kinda wondering if the +P doesn't have much effect on the 30 SM . With my limited dealing with them a 24" and 27" barrel it's about right in there for a standard 30 SM . My 27" is At 2980fps and the 24" is at 2900 fps with n570 and 245 eol.
I received the barrel from the builder and sent it to Defensive Edge. Once it came back, I installed it on my action and did break in and load development for the 245 gr Berger EOL using N570. All shooting was done at ~600 yards with my final load shooting .3 moa at 600 yards with 1.35 inches of vertical. The barrel is only 25-1/2 inches long and a lighter contour so it is a light setup. A different barrel could do better than mine but I'm happy with where its at. Can't be sad with the accuracy and I'm for accuracy over speed at my age.

Plus P is a good set up. When you do that though, its like increasing capacity, as far as pressure goes, so you have to load 2-3 grains more than before. If you load a Sherman with plus p, you need to do the same or you have will less velocity than before you changed the throat.
I've had several plus P throats on barrels so I was aware. I thought the 30 SM was a good candidate and I wanted to especially when my barrel came in shorter than I wanted. Rather than complain I sent it off for the plus P. I'm glad I did. It shoots great. Never had the barrel on an action prior to the plus P. Its not faster than my 300 PRC+P but my 30 SM+P is a bit shorter barrel with a smaller contour. Still no complaints.

I agree 100% on accuracy over speed I was just curious If the 30 Sherman Didn't really benefit from the the +P throat. Like the 300 prc did. But like you said that could just be the difference of barrels

What is the turn around on getting a +P barrel done?
Thanks
