StaBall 6.5

StaBall 6.5 was sold out at midway less then 10 minutes after I posted. I will post any time I see H1000, H4350 or Staball any time I see it. Any other powders you what me to watch for just post it.

Well, I guess there was only a few replies here and the OP was about 10 hours ago haha

Do people like staball now?
As with anything, YMMV and people have varying experiences.
I get about 100 fps more velocity with StaBall over H4350 in a 22 inch 7-08 with 140 gr bullet. 2940 fps. and that staying 1 grain under max load. It is a good powder for 6 creed, 6.5 creed, 243 and it will put some zip in your ole 130 gr. 270 load.
I have friends with similar results. I will be trying them on my 6.5 CM and .30 Gibbs soon.

What is your ES and SD in the 7-08? I have a lb of Staball I picked up to try in my 6.5 Creed, with H4350 and RL16 I get low ES and SD and accuracy is .50 to 1.0 MOA with 140 Berger Elite's, but had a heck of a time getting to that accuracy with the Berger. I get a consistent .50 to .60 MOA with 124 HH using RL16, I just started working with 110 HH, using RL16, just two shot groups to conserve bullets, but have noticed .375 and .408 MOA on two loads so far, have not finish running it up to see if I can get pressure yet.

I thought it worked pretty well when I tried it. Itt seems it's a love it or hate it powder

What might not work on one load development/chambering, might work on another.

That's very true. I was actually wondering if this would work well in my 30-284 with 200gr bullets. Burn rate and slightly larger case diameter than the '06 makes me think so. But, i think I've only got a couple hundred grains left of it :/
