What is better than the Weatherby?

I like the power, speed and knock down punch. And the cartridge has been around for years and that means their is components.

Just saying Old Men love the cartridges of old for reasons we think are unknown. Its because they made it through depression times, world wars, and many of tough times. And the old tried and true cartridges lasted and their was a supply of ammo.

My papa tells me about his dad would whoop his @&$ if he sent them with 3 bullets and you came back with 2 and nothing to eat. RECKON WE WILL SEE THOES DAY'S AGAIN?

A sense of humor is a must if you hang with me & my crowd, far too many young bois & old farts out there getting offended over everything
everybody has an opinion and none of us will agree to every bit of someone elses fluff

I like and have plenty of older chamberings and new ones too but I also know their place when it comes to "Long Range Hunting"

30 cal will always kill better than 7mm, it's an indisputable fact and you can't drown facts with fluff

If you think you have a sense of humor, than you are full of fluff. There wasn't one thing funny in your rants.

The .300 Weatherby is a tried and true long range round, fantastic for elk. Deadly for sure out to 600 yards. Superb with the Nosler 210 grain Accubond. What, if anything, is better? Gentlemen, state and explain your opinions, please.
I'll take my 338 Edge over a 300 Weatherby everyday of the week and twice on Sunday's...

Easy to open up 300 RUM brass with a 338 expander ball or mandrel. However, I recently picked up 250 new ADG 338 Edge cases that I'm looking forward to shooting once it warms up a bit...

Here's something to think about - everyone has a right to have his own opinion, and with all the chaos in today's world, don't you agree that it's better to be encouraging or silent instead of tossing out criticism and dogmatic criticism when someone shares his opinion?

My post didn't single anyone out, just a humorous (to me) overall observation of a thread 11 pages long with over 150 posts, Everyone had a chance at their opinion but you singled me out and every single sentence in my post, then you post that little gem above, smells like someone is knee deep in their own hypocrisy

I like the 300 Win. Mine is a Fierce Fury with their brake. I also have a Mark V in .300 Weatherby with a Muzzle Brakes and More brake.

The Weatherby is like shooting a 270 with a pack of c4 strapped to the muzzle.

The 300 Win mag is probably similar (just a little harder) in recoil but the explosion is noticeably less. I can shoot 220 gr Elds cruising at a modest 2850 and its quite pleasurable to shoot. Doesnt have that sharp bite like a sporterized 7mm or 06 has. Just a firm slow push and a loud bang.

Everytime I put my finger on the trigger of the Roy, it feels like I'm about to cut the wrong wire on a bomb. Now it doesn't hurt, the brake is truly unbelievable at how much it reduces the felt recoil. I would say close to half (200 gr Partition with LOTS of RL25). But it is such a violent explosion, its really not fun to shoot. Its sitting in the gun safe waiting for some money for a new barrel.

At the end of the day, its not that one cartridge design is superior to another. Its really just ones ability to hold more powder than the others.

That .300 Win Mag you shoot with the 220 grain ELD's, what is the load? Just wondering.
