We have been working with Kirby Allen of Allen Precision Shooting @Fiftydriver to develop an extreme long range projectile for his 458 Maximus cartridge. His 1st test rifle was a 12" twist bullet and this is the result. We have done some testing on heavier bullets in a 10" twist and are now waiting on an 8" twist barrel to arrive for further testing. Preliminary testing on an 798g version are showing a bc of .62 g7 from the 10" twist barrel. The 798g version is quite long and showing that it will need more than the 10" twist.

We will be developing a full line of this bore rider style bullet throughout the calibers. It is a single feed only bullet, so will be good for bench rest. After hunting season we will start working in earnest on this line of Hammer Bullets.

That's freaking Awesome

It looks like the case neck length will need to match up pretty closely with the specific bullet in order to achieve any neck tension. Is that actually the case, or is it just the way that picture looks?

It is a bore rider design so the boat tail junction will seat in the case neck. A single drive band so seating variation will be the length of the neck.

If you build on a long action to seat your bullets way out to accommodate the extra powder... good luck!
It's a single shot Contender pistol, might have to lengthen the throat a bit...😉

And I'm pretty sure that I can't cram 250 grains of powder in my .45-70 case and still seat a bullet....
