Any experience with Atibal scopes?

Has anyone played hands on these? They offer a trade in for Nikon scopes for credit towards their products. Any info appreciated.

Interesting, but never heard of them.

ADDED:

I sent them an e-mail query and they responded in about 5 minutes ...

FWIW, I recently purchased a Mirage 1-8 FFP. The glass appears to better than my Vortex 1-8, but everything else seems about the same. I called a couple of weeks ago, and they took one of my Vortex 1-8's toward trade-in on their Atibal X 1-10 FFP. Spoke with Jimmy(the owner) and he was a very upfront and honest guy and definitely not afraid to call a spade a spade(I admire that in people). I haven't received the other scope yet as it took me a few days to get around to it, but will update you if you like. They do have a similar warranty to Vortex too, but don't know how important it is to ya. Hope I filled in some blanks :)

Thanks for that update. If you ever get a chance can you take a pic through the scope. Curious to see. I'll trade my Nikon's in if they're decent

Will do Boss. I don't have a good camera, but I'll do what I can. I forgot to mention that Jimmy stated they were working on trying to use Japanese glass in future products(although still assembled in China). I've read that Nikon is(or has) dropping out of scope manufacturing, which makes me wonder how they do future service work. Even if you don't go atibal, might start shopping around anyway....

Got it in Tuesday, and so far it's of, meh. It seems well built, very audible/tactile turrets and daytime bright illumination. My ONLY complaint, while still unable to identify the source, is the reticle 'crispness'. At 1-4 it's fine. From 4-10, I have to find that 'sweet spot' for the reticle to come in clear. It doesn't get enveloped by scope shadow, but rather seems to wash out/become blurry in lit/normal conditions. Eye relief is AWESOME, so no issues there. I have 2 other FFP LPVO's that cost less than this, one is Atibal's Mirage 1-8(bought on whim) and the other is a cheap Visionking 1-8 I bought to start playing with Mil increments. The Mirage has a 30mm tube and does not have the 'apparent eyebox issues. The Visionking has a 35mm tube, like the Atibal 1-10 I traded for and has a similar issue, but not as bad. I''ve reached out to GRSC, that uses the same scope body as the Atibal to find out if the 35mm lets in too much light to where it affects the reticle, but that was a few minutes ago. so no response yet(obviously). I contacted Atibal via email, and Jimmy asked me to call to address the concerns. He seems to think once I mount it and can get a proper cheek weld on it, it'll go away(and we'll go from there if it doesn't). I see his point, but it doesn't make sense to me that both the other scopes I mentioned aren't mounted either and only one has a similar issue and my higher end ones don't even when they're not mounted(although I hate comparing apples to oranges). It'll be a couple of weeks before I get to mounting/testing, but I'll humor him just to say I did and we can go from there. As it sits, I would say mine was worth trading in(for the extra magnification and FFP over the Vortex Strike Eagle), but I got more than what I paid for it in trade. That being said, I don't think I would pay full price for it. I will get some pics once the weather clears here in Missouri, but that's where things sit ATM. I don't know what you have/what they'll trade towards, but it may be worth it.

Side note: I was told by the staff the 1-10 model is all China made(with ED glass) except for the objective lens which is Japanese. If component origin is important, you may want to call them to ask about the particular model you're interested in.

Wow, thanks for going to the trouble of writing that review. Very thorough. I'm on the fence still. I'll keep following to see the glass and reticle.

I grabbed one for my 6.8 AR when all this virus stuff started and so far I like it. It's not top tier glass but I didn't spend top tier on it. I went with the 1-8 XP8 SFP. I like the reticle myself. I zeroed at 100 with the top of the diamond, which is about 3 inches high from center.

I keep it in my truck, no issues being tossed around. Every time I take it out at the range it works as advertised. No complaints so far.

Agreed! My post in #2 is exactly what I was told when I asked and if you noticed on their response it says "ALL."

Here's what I can get with my cheapo phone. The lower magnification is at 1x and zoomed in was 6-8x. The reticle is like Trijicon's Credo, but a segmented diamond in lieu of a segmented circle. 1x is close to true, but not quite and fisheye at 1x is very minimal and goes away the higher magnification gets. There is another company that uses the same scope, but with their own reticle and it's cheaper, so I plan on trying it when funds allow(GRSC if curious). If you would like any more info, please let me know and I'll do my best.

@thatguyshm, I like that reticle too, but I went with the 'Christmas Tree' ffp model(I like it too).
