Which long range .338 Bullet to use?

I've recently been hunting a new area, and I'm finding 95% of the shots on elk are pretty long, 400-800 yards shots are typical. The country is rolling grass hills or low sage, the views are wide open. I've been shooting a .338 RUM with 225 nosler accubonds, and I'm thinking I need something heavier. I've got three loads that are shooting super sweet
1. 250 accubond at 3065fps
2. 250 SMK at 3020fps
3. 250 Berger elite hunter is shooting great at 2905fps and 2995fps
Does anyone have any experience with these billets on elk at these ranges? Some shoots may be a little iffy, ie animal not presenting a perfect broadside shot. What can I except. All three are basically shooting the same accuracy.
thanks.
I used a 250 SMK at 603 yards. 338 Edge. Bullet entered front left shoulder shattering it, took out lungs, spine, back straps, and everything in between exited just right of his tail. Penetrated entire elk including massive bone! He dropped on his nose at the crack of the rifle!

I have a buddy that has used the 250 SMK for a long time with great results, antelope/deer/elk out to some pretty long ranges. One of my favorites is the 300 SMK, I've used it from real close to way-way out and they have always smashed everything I sent one at.

Have people seen better accuracy with the Berger 250 over the 300? I'm still battling which to use in my new edge. 285 eldm were great in my last one. 300 bergers (1st gen) were finicky. Never tried the 250 elite. Help

I've seen the best groups ever shot with the 250 EH, I've seen good ones with the 300 too but the 250 seems to really be sweet even jumping them a lot in a RUM throated for the 300. There is something to be said for how much nicer to shoot the 300 is even when braked you notice it and you will notice just how fast they get to a grand, not loafing out there like the 300.

Mine cut holes with the 250 do I just never monkeyed with the 300's. I've got a couple boxes of 300's to try just haven't got around to it.

The deer in the picture above were shot at ranges from 220 to 413 yards with Berger 250 grain elite hunters running 2950 ft./s

300 gr Bergers @ 2750 fps work pretty well on Eastern whitetails, too 😀. I would like to try that bullet on an elk, but my current 338 is a little over Idaho's 16# limit (and I would not want to carry that much weight anyway).

I am very tempted to rebarrel a 300 RUM I have to 338 RUM. If I do, I am going to try the 250 gr Berger.
