Lots of People like to bash brands.

Gusd I have had very few optics failures and the ones I had were repaired as promised. Many bad mouth Nikon but I received a new scope from them when my gun blew up. Now that bent tube was no fault of theirs but their warranty replaced the scope. I recieved no invoice just a new scope. It is to bad they let the bunny huggers run their company.

What happen to this thread? Crickets! Was so much drama and finally I can play with gen pop and it all stops!
If people could formulate their questions better I could probably answer them. And nobody needs "military data" to point out that certain optics they have owned aren't as good as others. Nothing is pointed at you man. 🤣

Burris--Totally stand behind their product no matter how old it is. My scope was decades old when the PA got wonky (probably from me cranking on it for 25 years). They fixed it no questions asked and no charge. I just mounted it on my brand new Sauer 100 30-06. Clarity and resolution on this old Signature just beat the snot out of most scopes today that cost less than a grand.

Good point. They can all have issues. I've moved on to Burris quite a few years ago with much better luck than others. I've had a hiccup or two and had to send a couple in. Biggest difference...much, much lower rate of problems and excellent, friendly customer service. Never once had a tech person get argumentative or confrontational. Again, no brand is immune to problems

I don't know why he keeps referencing the military. Since when were they the end all be all for good decisions and using good products? Anyone remember the SCAR? How about the FY22 raptor? Comanche? They always tout the latest and greatest and then dump it like an old girlfriend after prom night.

come on man, optics!
the Army would never use anything less than the absolute best optical devices for American soldiers.

And I do have to say that the mark 5 is probably the only Leupold that is actually good. Even then their reticles suck.

Ahhh, yes, the S-9 spectacles. Facial Birth Control for our service men. Optically they are pretty good though, lol! But not great. CR-39 plastic with no anti-reflectant coating. Come on Uncle Sam, we can do BETTER.

I've sent 5 back the past 12 months. Just got this one back yesterday - We're hard on the equipment To say the least!

Regardless, I support American based products - leupold still holds a purpose in my safe!
