got plenty of elk and venison in my freezer, tons of reloading supplies. Good for awhile, if it hits the fan.

Food shortage is not the problem. Economic collapse is the problem.
Think about it. 330 Million people and 6500 have Covid-19 and 75 are dead. That is less than 2 tenths of the population yet the stock marked is sinking like the Titanic. So strongest economy is trashed because less than 1 percent of the population gets sick....why would anyone in their right mind want to invest it that kind of market?

The CDC is reporting 3,487 cases of COVID-19 but there are way more than that, many many more, talking about maybe 100k, provably more. Many don't have symptoms and don't know they are sick and are spreading it unknowingly.
There is also a shortage on testing kits so not everyone that has all the symptoms and meets the requirements is getting tested, they are being asked to stay home and quarantine themselves for 14 days.
People are panicking and that is hard to control when all the media talks about is Coronavirus and how Trump screws up.
Thia is going to get worse before it gets better and unfortunately ignorance and lack of common sense does not help the situation.
Like @adam32 asked, how soon can we live of the land Lol? Here in AZ you only get 1 deer tag and takes years to draw a pronghorn or elk tag, so hard to fill the freezer.

+1 This is exactly what our local hospital said today as well. Unless you're exhibiting ALL the symptoms they WILL NOT test you due to the shortage of test kits for this thing...
Seriously, if people would just use some common sense and isolate themselves as best as they can for next 14-15 days ( as requested by Fed and State folks) we d definitely help this virus from exploding. That said our State and local govt are begging people to not hoard food, TP, etc as there's plenty in the supply pipeline. Looking at news photos of the store shelves shows how well the public is listening.... as others said, total panick and over reaction.
