Called Berger today and got load data for the 6.5 creedmoor with the 156 Berger.
The two best performers are

RL 26
Max 46.1 grains at 2800fps

N560
Max 44.8 grains at 2763fps

Pretty good numbers. These were with a 26 inch barrel at 2.8 OACL.

Let us know if real world numbers match.

Thanks everyone

I am using 46.6 Rl26. Went to 46.8 with no pressure signs but 46.6 was the most accurate. Hornady cases, CCI primers. Did not chrony them, just want the rams at 500 meters to fall over with center mass hits.

I maxed out with RL26 and the 156 at 2700 fps, seated at 2.875", and that was actually too hot, lost primer pockets on SRP lapua brass in 2-3 fireings, using H4350 it maxed around 2650, loaded at 2630, and that was also pretty hot. However, I think this gun had issues, It made shiny ejector marks on all the factory ammo we tried, even some of the once fired factory Lapua SRP brass had slightly loose primer pockets. Possibly a tight bore or something. It is a 24" Ruger M77 Hawkeye predator. Just more reason to start low and work up, they aren't all the same.

Wow! Ya, I'd say that rifle had some issues. Bergers load data is generally pretty mild. I've never had any caliber and bullet combo that didn't safely surpass Berger load data by quite a bit.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the 156

Why do you say that? I was thinking about trying them in a 1:8 twist but I also don't shoot below 4000ft ever.
You should be fine with an 8 twist then. At sea level, they can be finicky about being over the 1.5 sg, not saying they won't shoot but at times they may be as low as 1.3 depending on the circumstances. At 4000+ you should pretty much be safe in any circumstance and be above 1.5 achieving full bc and stabilization. I shoot them in both an 8 and 7.5 twist and both fall in line with applied ballistics drops (which uses .355 g7 bc btw) then again I live at 6800 ft and hunt from there up to 10,000+.

I shoot mostly at 5500 feet elevation. Have a Magnetospeed on the way. The 156 have shot very well in both of my Creedmoors. 1 in 8 twist. No pressure signs with 46.6 gr RL26.

Has anyone had any luck running the 156 out of 1-8 that isnt in the mountains? At about 500 feet here in the Ozarks, haha! What would be the negatives of doing so? (under stabilized obviously, but how much would it matter and at what distance)
