I've been trying to reach Berger for their data but haven't been successful yet.

Anyone running this combo yet?

Looking for rl33, viht n570, retumbo, rl26, h1000, imr7977, imr 8133...I figure one of those will deliver top velocity.

In a rethroated 8"twist CA I'm running 72.5gr Retumbo with 156 2.82 ogive. Gun has never been better than a 1 MOA, but the 156 shoots the best. Now that Retumbo is getting tight and maybe discontinued I'm testing others. This gun has just become a test platform and I'll either rebarrel it or sell and build a custom that will shoot .5 MOA or better!

2975-3210. RL33 looks promising. Need more ladder test. The next 26 I do will have a longer throat so more case capacity can be used and maybe RL50 or one of the really slow powders will be the ticket! Just worked on 156 loads in my 6.5 PRC with H1000 and it is really surprising!
I've been shooting 135 Classic Hunters in it, but not sure 156 won't replace it. Have only shot current load to 500y. When the wind goes back down I'll shoot it at 800 &1000 along with the 26. Only word of caution the 6.5 is very load forgiving and the 26 Nosler isn't forgiving at all! The 28 Nosler is a piece of cake to load for and experiment with. The 26 is a whole mother cat! I've played with Wildcat Hotrods my whole adult life and you must have caution and respect for them.....the 26 is in that catagorie !!!!

I loaded Retumbo with the 156's in my 6.5 PRC last week for grins.
I ran them from 2900 to 2960.
Here are last 3 shots at 654 yds

Venatic,
I have a 27 in. MGM barrel in 6.5 PRC that I've been testing loads in. I have all the same powders the OP has but have not tried a few of them yet. H1000 has been good. I recently bought some 156 Bergers but have not tested them yet. I'm interested in others data that has.
Not trying to change op to 6.5 PRC. sorry !

I'm torn to build a 6.5 PRC on a long action..or do the 26 Nosler...my barrel withbe 24 inches no longer...
If all you want is pure speed then the 26 is the way to go. I've been around a couple and won't own 1. They are bitches to tune. The 6.5PRC seems to be fine. I am seeing 2900ish with 147's and 3020-3050 with 140's with a 22" proof. I'm still messing with loads but feel like a 140 at 3040-3050 in a 22" barrel is pretty decent. I only tested retumbo with the 140 before I ran out of time.
