6.5 creedmoor misinformation, a bit humorous but sad?

It's a solid round that's about it. You have F&S hyping it up in every other article they put out and have it ranked high in any list of 10 best cartridges for whatever.

I sometimes get to sipping the koolaid but I really it's the gun I'm shooting. I love the shoot ability of my Gap-10.

If it goes bang and is accurate I like it. Listening to die hard 308 and 6.5 creed shooter makes me want to vomit. (308) We get it you want to shoot the same boring round 5-6k Times (6.5) yeah you clearly bought the hype and don't think for yourself.
Dude, you watched a YouTube video lately? You read ANY gun article? It's now what they use to compare everting to... Everyone is whoring that thing out like a half-priced $2 hooker at a frat party... They act like it's the pinnacle, like nothing else exists prior to it's invention. Just like Democrats and liberals try to do when Obama got elected... They tried to erase all of our history prior to Ohomo. It's almost like we crossed dimensional planes in time, and when we did, most people's brains got scrambled. It's just insane. We literally are living the movie Idiocracy, but 500 years ahead of schedule.

Until you yourself own one, everything you say is just speculation on your part. Maybe it's you who is missing the boat.

Pretty sure I have a good comprehension on it... You don't always have to own something to know how it works... I don't own a turbine engine, but I know how they work... I don't own a set of portal axles, but I know how they work.

The Creedmoor is a great cartridge, but unfortunately, Bozos like this putting out misinformation like this are a large part of why so many have come to hate it. John
Nah...I think most of them just need something to hate.
But they are dedicated. Reminds me of those jack-in-the-box toys where you crank and a little clown pops up and says "I hate the Creedmoor."

I was in the Corps when the transition from M1 Garand to M14 took place. It was the same situation then....I hate the M14! Never be as accurate as the M1...on and on it went for several years. Actually saw bar fights over the subject. Then in Nam we went from M14 to M16 aka "rat guns"...same then too.

6.5 CM is like a lot of cartridges in bygone days....designed for one discipline that it didn't find a niche for, it eventually found great success in another.

The military's changed now. Soldiers get excited for the newest crap. It's like an arms race among the different branches in the army. I blame SOF with all the new cool guy crap they get for their missions. Regular units soon follow.

Interesting. We didn't have the choices "back when" that they do now so I can see how it would be different when so many "new toys" are put out there.

I think the whole 6.5 craze isn't so much misinformation as it is misguided by forums (like this one) and advertising. I have a 6.5 creedmoor and I like it for what it is. It's not the holy grail of cartridges. It is a great for target, deer/antelope, elk inside of 300 to 400 yards depending on your skills. It's not .270, it is .264, it's not the be all end all and you can't buy 1 rifle chambered in this and expect it to do all. Accept it for what it is. For me it fills the gap between .243 and .300 WM, but I also have .30-06, and a wildcat .35.
Personally, I'm getting pretty tired of the hate and the love for the 6.5 creedmoor, when you don't see this polarization for the .260 Remington or the 6.5x47 lapua, when it reality they are so similar, that it would be impossible for game or target to tell the difference.

The divide has turned us into republicans vs Democrats!!

With the 6.5CM guys clearly being the Republicans! ;)
