If your thinking of getting a silencer and want to know more, ask a ?

Question, did the single shot trust and F4 at the kiosk for Silencer Shop back on January 17th. The trust paperwork and F4 was completed today with the dealer and myself signing the paperwork. Where am I at in the whole process now?

I'm hoping I'll still see my Omega and Sparrow in time for my fall hunting.

From what I've heard, processing times have increased to over a year now. Once you submit everything the next step is to get notification that your check has been cashed. That is usually within 2-4 weeks after the forms are submitted. IIRC, you can log in to your silencerershop account and see latest status on the submission.

The clock starts ticking once the check is cashed. Like previously said, it's about a year out. Some data says 7 months. If you call they say its running 9 months.
I'm coming up on a year for my first one, but I had to make an amendment to my trust so that pushed it back at least a month.
Best advise I can give is to hurry up and submit it, and forget about it. And it is hard to forget about it.

Local dealers are getting a kiosk where they can take your photos, fingerprints etc electronically and file your paperwork online to FBI and ATF. My local charges $25 ,to do that
SilencerShop kisok, correct? If so, they don't actually do the photo at the Kiosk (at least not when I last did it last year), but they have an iPhone or Android app where you can do it using your phone and connect it to your application. They make it really easy.

SilencerShop charges the dealer $25 so it's nice that your dealer doesn't add any markup. The process is very easy with them. Well, almost too easy. You can quickly have a bunch of suppressors ordered and in process.

What a load of crap. It's a piece of metal you screw on the end of a gun. It's a less aggressive muzzle brake...I hate that we have to do this. Just stops good people from getting great products.

With that rant out of the way...once you get a stamp or approved do you have to do the whole process for every can you purchase? Or you just pay for the stamp for every additional can? Sorry if this question has already been asked.

You pay the $200 stamp and have the full Form 4 wait time on every can.

Oh man...so to acquire one for every rifle will literally take years...

Thanks for answering my question. Great thread!

Not if you by them all at once :)

I didn't buy one for each rifle, more for each situation. Have a 30 cal Thunderbeast Ultra 7 and a 338 Ultra. Ultra 7 is for hunting or when I'm not worried about max suppressor. 338 Ultra is at the range and for the bigger calibers. Both attach to a Thunderbeast muzzle brake so I can move cans from one rifle to another. only catch is that the 338 Ultra & the Ultra 7 have different sized brakes. I used Area 419 Hellfire mounts & adapters though so I can use either can on any of my rifles.

I'm starting with a .30 Cal for multi caliber use and a .22 cal can for my rimfire rifles. I'd like to get another multi cal can as well that'll handle things like my .375 Ruger or larger rifles if I ever decide to get a .458 WM. I have a .358 Win barrel that I want to cut to 18" and run suppressed as well.

You can get an inexpensive rebel for 45 cl or 50 cal. They work well and cost little.

Jan 24, 2019 did trust paperwork for Sparrow and Omega suppressors.

Apr 30, 2019 ATF cashes check on Sparrow.
May 1, 2019 ATF cashes check on Omega.

I'll post updates as I get them.
