Welcome to the people’s republic of Oregon

Yep, they conveniently "forget" to teach you about The Battle of Athens these days... They don't want folks getting any ideas that don't align with their liberal/lefty/commie brainwashing.
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." George Santayana
Thanks for knowing some history, I'v ran into some people on here who do not know there history, and do not care to know eather.

I think what disturbs me most about people not knowing history, is not that they don't know the history, it's that they simply don't CARE to know history. I swear it has to be part of a much bigger psyop by the public school system that was started during the Obama presidency when they were trying to remove all history pre-Obama. Remember that? When they kept removing all the civil war statues and parks and building names and state flags and stuff?. And since then, they've kept on with it. I'm 32, and I have cousins in their early 20's and they don't even have a clue about the stuff me and my uncles talk about at family get-togethers. I'm half-convinced they don't even teach real history anymore, just that social justice crap.

ANYTHING, and I mean absolutely ANYTHING that prohibits ANY citizens from obtaining ANY type of firearm or ammunition for that firearm is considered infringement. So, technically, every single law on the books concerning guns, the very existence of the BATFE, background checks, the NFA, the GCA of '68, the Hughes Amendment, etc... goes against the 2nd Amendment. The 2nd Amendment is NOT a limited right, in its original context.

Granted, Big Brother and pinheads in the judicial system have bastardized it to the point that has now become a limited right, but that does not mean that it was ever meant to be limited in any way, shape, or form. Just read the wording. Also, those that say, "yeah, but it says for a well regulated militia..." The 2nd Amendment is a 2-part sentence. The part that says "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State" is simply making a statement. It is stating that a well-regulated militia is absolutely necessary to ensuring the security of a free state. And being that in those times, because we didn't really have a large official military like we do today, it also counted on any male of fighting age as part of the militia, so that includes ALL of "We the people". The 2nd part is the most important one...Where it says, "The right of the people (all citizens) to keep and bear arms shall NOT BE INFRINGED."

You should study established law. There are thing you and I believe should be the case that aren't, and haven't been for sometime. So this idea that "They ain't gonna let me have no boolits!" is infringement simply is not the case. Do I find it to be infringement? I do. It's like saying we can buy pickups but not the gas, oil or filters. Established precedent says otherwise.

Secondly, the amendment is not two parts. It is one complete statement, phrased by commas for clarity and emphasis. The founders weren't idiots. Politics and politicians will always shape words to fit their agendas and serve their needs in the moment.

Why doesn't anyone want to talk about the elephant in the room.

We have already been taught some lessons, very expensive ones.

Who controls the past, controls the future: who controls the present, controls the past… Past events, it is argued, have no objective existence, but survive only in written records and in human memories. The past is whatever the records and the memories agree upon. And since the Party is in full control of all records, and in equally full control of the minds of its members, it follows that the past is whatever the Party chooses to make it. -Orwell, 1984.

I have been looking for that quote for about an hour, he was correct, simply missed on his timeline by 20 years.

I think you missed one.......total number of cigarettes a person can smoke in a 24 hour period..or purchase in a years time....
Facing the fact that secondary smoke has killed many people....and it could be considered death by suicide........
If the progressives ever get their way and disarm us you can expect what you mentioned in your posts and much worse. Look at what is being done to the neutered and disarmed population of Europe right now.

All we have to do is fallow our neighbors examples, look at Canada.
You can't carry a side arm while hunting, they can only be fired at a certified range.
As far as I remember, you have to get a permit to even transport a handgun to and from a range.
I don't know why many of us can't admit the ball has already been released from the bowlers grip.
What we end up with will either be better than what we have have now, or worse than Canada has it.
Like it or not, boys and girls... Facts are facts.

Showing all these cartoons and quotes, which can be very "eye opening". As having been a part. Lol
It's very sad, that we may all become long range bowmen.
Just like the wolf horse s#&t. This is all speculative propaganda.
Until we as free Americans unite, without bloodshed, we have already lost.
I'm one of the first to want to to revilate this issue, only because the middle ground licks a skunks arse.
But it has to be done in a way which allows the rights we, as a nation, still hold. Which should be done non-violently.
I don't believe that our nation can handle a revolution right now, especially with the " Wag the Dog " administration now in the seat. Which was only allowed to get our minds off the previous "Socialistic Campaign". If you don't think they are all on the same side, it's my belief that we have already lost.
Think about all this before you hit the like button or respond with some horse poop response about how you will defend your rights.
UNITY IS THE ANSWER

I used to help teach self defense classes for abused people, you'd be surprised how many male people we had in the class, lots of law enforcement (regardless of sex).
The women in the class that weren't in law enforcement usually were there because of abuse, not wanting that lifestyle anymore. We always took a poll about a few things.
The one thing that always took the top was concealed carry.
I was in the class to show people why they shouldn't carry, if not trained.
I dont think a person has a right to vote about gun laws unless they have been through a class like I have helped teach, it covered to much that we should have learned in school. and a high school diploma shouldn't be given without a class like this along with screening.
"If all citizens had the equal opportunity to be armed, we wouldn't cure the world. But we damned sure put a halt on the latest disease; which is our gun rights."

I edited this as I typed it fast, but ya get the point I hope

UNITY IS THE ANSWER

I agree that unity is the answer. As I understand it there are between 75-100 million gun owners in the US. If we could get them all informed on the importance of voting for no compromise 2nd Amendment candidates and sticking together as one, be they shotgun, AR, Class III, bolt gun, or handgun folks we would not need to even have these conversations. Now with new anti 2A bills being introduced daily it is important for all of us firearms owners to be unified and get as many of as we can to get involved in expressing our disapproval of these bills to our State and Federal representatives. It may seem like a lost cause in Oregon but perhaps, just perhaps, if enough of the gun owners can be heard it may make our adversary change course, maybe.

Agreed, the pen is mightier than the sword. Or in our times , the bullet.
In biblical times entire races were erased over things much simpler. For the crap i pulled in the 80's they would lock a person up for ever. And I was never bad.... chit, I went to high school with a shotgun, .22 and an -06. Oh, and I owned a pistol. We never shot up schools or a principal for giving us a hack.
Try that now, That dog will never hunt again.
I posted this song before but here it is again
