Oregon

Gonna be heading to see Mom some...will definitely bring this conversation up with hunting world gun toting maniacs that I know...

An interfaith group is one that is made up of many religions it may include Christians Jews, Buddhists, Muslims or any religion that has a local representation in the region. Hope this helps Cheers Wiz

As a logger for almost 15 years in Douglas County. One of my best memories was a bumper sticker I put on the back bumper of the crummy I drove in the late 80's.
Don't Californicate Oregon. I guess it did not work:(

I left Oregon in 1980 for college and then the USAF. The state was fine then. Conservative. I moved back in 2007.

What happened while I was gone?

I left Oregon in 89 and came back to Grants Pass in 2012. Holy ****! I just go out into se oregon to do my thing. Farthest place away from the willamette valley.

Well just got back from Oregon....unbelievable what I heard...
Lets start off with a pack of wolves at crater lake...now considered home...that means those giant Blacktail bucks are as good as dead...another pack is located closer to California border....so the migration route is dinner belt of Blacktail...
Second...the last report for land closures...this will **** a lot of you off.....all timber companies are being forced(by possible lawsuits for fire) land closures to hunting at a level 1....that means as soon as summer hits there will be no archery season unless you have your own private property to hunt....and probably no deer hunting...maybe an elk hunt....
Third...the land which used to be Roseburg forest products is purchased by a group investment company and will eventually be closed to hunting...cascade properties went this way several years ago....timber companies sold off their lands and became land stewards........and still not allowing public lands to be accessed....
Fourth....the state of Oregon tried to sell the Elliot State forest... but guys in mask swarmed the woods and sent pictures..of them holding torches and containers of fuels..."if you sell our lands we will burn every f-ing inch of the country"....the state still wanted to sell it but the company backed out....maybe thats what needs to happen in every public forest........burn it.....burn it all........

**** 26 how much whiskey you had tonight?

Unfortunately none...
Having grown up on the coast and knowing what it was like and what it is coming to disgust me as it obviously does a lot of other law biding citizens seeing their world of outdoor entertainment being ended...with lands now becoming a free market enterprise for pensions of [teachers].......western Oregon is being destroyed for the outdoor enthusiast....their are people that called for the same for access to rivers in the area...how would you like absolutely no fishing because you don't own property touching the river...landowners pushed for this several years ago...
Oh yeah... the gun issue....when you see people turn red in the face and walk away because you ask about it..its time to find something else to talk about......

I've got news for ya..The whole f888g country is like this. You think Montana or Idaho or Colorado dosent have its own similar issues? They dont have fires, wolves, rich pukes buying up and locking access? I have a friend who has been a game warden around the yellowstone area for 12 yrs. His stories sound worse than anything in Oregon I have heard. At least we dont have meth head miners with rifle in hand roaming all over our high desert. There aint no outdoor utopia left unless you want to live in a place where you freeze for over half the year. If you own a large tract of hunting ground you spend more time during season worrying about trespassers than you do enjoying the use of your own property to hunt on.
BUT there are pockets of utopia everywhere which aren't pay for view. I recently moved to Grants Pass. Many of the locals I know shoot some incredible bucks and elk every year around here and out in se Oregon. None of them are wealthy and dont pay to hunt. I agree that the woods are slowly getting locked up so adapt and overcome instead of crying about it. I am 57 and grew up in the woods of Oregon and N Calif. It has changed for sure but SW Oregon still a better place to be than most for all around everything. Thats if you like to catch fish as well.

I've lived in Oregon for most of my 50+ years. I worked in LE for over 30. Most of that in the F&G Division of OSP. Oregon is not Oregon anymore. For all the reasons you list, and so many more. If I told you what I saw and heard, you wouldn't believe me because it would sound utterly insane. This state is run by gun hating, hunter hating, libitards. The truth is what they say it is. Heaven help you if you blow the whistle of their lies. They will be more than happy to show you just how open minded they are! People underestimate just how morally and ethically corrupted these people really are. A wise old guy once told me, it's commin' kid, best be ready.
The Willamette Valley runs this socialist state. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is run on and by politics. No matter what they say to the public. Don't count on ANY help from them. They are starving for money due to declining license sales. Da. Wonder why that is??. Stevie Wonder could see that one coming. Not sure where this will all go, but I am sure I gave my word to defend this Country and it's Constitution from ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. Keep your powder dry.

THANK YOU for posting this, i've thought this all my life, (70yrs) its really sad the condition of this state, its like rotting meat, it stinks more and more as time goes by. But, people get used to the smell ,and ignore the end result that is coming.

Its the condition of this country not just Oregon. We just know about Oregon because we operate here. However I do agree we are on the top of the list thanks to the ******* in the Willamette valley. But that disease is spreading all over the west.

I believe it was gov Tom McCall who started that, at one time, there were signs , big signs that said the same around the state. Now, he would be guilty of slander, hate crime, etc, etc.
