Yellowstone?

Me & the old lady are thinking about going to yellowstone for some photos of game for my paintings. What would be a good time of year to go? I want to avoid the crowds. If anyone has been there for photography please clue me in. I have never been there. Thanks

First week in June or first week in October. Best combination of game prevelance and minimal crowds. Generally, you must keep in mind that people try to be there when the most animals are visible.

So most crowds are in the summer? I will be in Missoula in may. Maybe I'll just go there then.

depending on the snow.... some roads might be closed still in May.

Sept. after Labor day is great... Elk that are still left are bugling then

If it were up to me I'd spend as much time there as possible, I just can't get enough of Yellowstone NP.
