so I called euro optic ready to pull the trigger on ordering an X5i and the salesperson tries to talk me into a z8. I had a few questions but the conversation ended up being about the z8i????

What gives? Am I missing something with the z8i?

I admit that I don't know anything about the X8 but I have an X5 and it is an incredible scope with a ballistic turret

Trying to decide which reticle. I like the flexibility provided with the brmi just seems a little busy. Leaning towards the 4wi

I ordered the z5 with plex strictly for hunting. Can't beat swaro glass.

Z8 is a better scope...love the turret system on the Z8..just wish they made it lighter (left off the illumination--save weight)

I kinda like having the illumination and I'm not overly concerned with weight this is going on a 6lb (bare) 300rum

Why do you say/think that the Z8 is a "better scope" than the X5?

Well as far as glass...they may be the same--in quality...i like the turret system 500x better...setting the turret and zero stop is not the most user friendly on the X5..I also prefer capped windage on a hunting long range scope.
