wyatt mag box issues in 7 PRC

I bought used Mcmillian Adjustable Game Warden, Remington 700 Long Action, BDL, with Hawkins bottom metal. built a 7 PRC and changed the mag and follower to a Wyatts 300 PRC set, We cannot get the bottom metal to close and even after cutting the mag box down, still will not work and cycle. Any ideas?

Is the plate touching any part of the stock? McMillan's BDL inlet is always slightly off for me and I have to shave some of the stock away to make the floorplate latch properly.

Never mind I read that wrong.
Did you do the proper machining of the receiver to accommodate the PRC box?
