Hello,
My name is John and I have never built a bolt action rifle (ie stock, barrel, action etc.). I have built for myself and others AR-15s and AK's. Since I am rounding the corner of the 50 milestone soon I want to do something special. This rifle will be set in 300 win mag, Mcmillan stock, Krieger barrel, Jewell trigger and a Zeiss scope. I sold a Arsenal milled and 2 of my AR's to get this cash. The gun will be my second hunting gun with the first being my 336. My one question that remains is what action should I put in? Cost is not an issue and I'm looking at a BAT machine Hunting Repeater, Remington action or a model 70 action. I have not owned any bolt action but my .22. The Hunting Repeater is a wallop of change but is it better then the others? Thanks I was referred by THR to you guys.
