Which scope?

Hello everybody, I have a rifle with bolt action .338 Winchester Magnum, I think about the swarovsky scope in
2,5-10x42mm. What do you think of this choice?
I shoot a maximum range ~500 yards in Africa and sometimes
in Asia.

Personaly I'd prefer the 3-12x42 Schmidt & Bender with the magnum eye relief configuration.
