What's the difference

As I Understand It: BR primers are more consistent.

If there is more to it than that, I'd love to know.

I've not tried the CCI BR primers. Is it BR2 and BR4?

At the moment I prefer Federal Match primers but with the sort supply I've have been having fine performance with CCI 200 and 250.

Pretty much nothing... The same as there is between regular Federal primers and Federal "Match" primers.

I have had just as much consistency with both and even purposely interchanged both and never noticed the difference.

They cost the exact same, so I try to buy the 210M and 215M primers (red/black box) when I have a choice, but I won't hesistate to buy regular 210 and 215 primers (blue/black box) if the Match primers aren't available.

I use BR2 in my .270 AI with very good success.

CCI BR2 is the LR primer and BR4 is the SR primer. The difference between the BR and standard is about $20 or so a thousand. :D

What I have heard is that BR and match grade primers receive closer inspections.

+1 on the QC.
I've never seen a difference on the target but the Match primers are checked and double checked. I get Match Grade Federals when I can find them just 'cause but I use regular stuff if I can't.
