I was a Mopar car guy from high school until 1980. I had 2 Dodge Chargers. One a 440 RT. A Plymouth Roadrunner, a Dodge Dart and my favorite a 340 Plymouth Duster. In 1980 bought a Ford F100 2WD. 1982 a Ford F150 4x4. 1999 a Ford F150 Lariot ext. cab 4x4. 2004 a Ford F250 Super Cab HD power stroke. Still have it . Over 220k mi.This reminds me of a Dodge commercial from the late '60's or very early '70's! It went something like this!
To set the scene: the deep, throaty sound of a big block V-8 coming down from high rpm, while hearing the sound of tires under heavy braking on pavement…..a guy yells to his friend!
"How do ya like my new economy car?" The friends incredulous response….. "Economy car?" The car owners response, "Yeh…..saves on time!"
I'm not a MOPAR fan….but, always loved that commercial! memtb
I don't know why I told you all that... I think sometimes it's good to excersize my brain.
