I'm sick of the Hogue on my yote rig. Heavy, awkword, no rails, etc. Plus it's a carbine length, which I hate. I've got an extra low pro gas block already, but I thought I might start an impromptu poll for favorite free float tube. I'm leaning toword a Troy Lightweight in 11in.

I was going to suggest the troy 11 or longer

I've used a number of the Daniel Defense rails in various configurations, and been quite happy with them. Rock solid, easy to install and have a pretty good track record in the field. First one I tried was on an SDM/DMR rifle built to USAMU specs. This was the forend that was used on that series of builds, so I went with it on that basis. Very pleased with it and have built at least six subsequent guns all using this forend, or different length versions of it. Currently doing up an SBR in 300 BlkOut, which will get another one of these.

What can I say? I like 'em.

I'm currently running a...
12" Oly FIRSH
13.8" Troy MRF
13.8" Troy TRX
And now two 15" YHM Todd Jarret rails.

I've handled a couple others as well, but for now, for the price I found the Todd Jarrett handguards...I'm sold and am shopping for another.

I've thought about getting a Noveske 16.7 NSR but it comes with a hefty price tag.
I prefer rails that are much longer than "the norm" but in all reality, I think 16" is about the perfect length for 18-24" barrels.

I've got one of the 15" rails on an integrally suppressed 9mm that finishes up at 16" and I'm going to use one for a 14.5" 300 BLK that will have a pinned YHM Phantom QD suppressor mount.
Shopping for either another or the 16.7" NSR to use on my 24" 243WSSM
