I am just wondering if anyone could tell me what a good warranty for a rifle is. I was looking at the Remmington 700 CDL and Savage 111 LRH. the 700 has a 2 year warranty and the 111 has a 1 year. it seems to me that a good firearm lasts a long time, so why such a short warranty? should i expect a manufacturer to give a better warranty, or are 1 are 2 year warranties normal? thanks!

Most have 1 year warranty I think TC Venture advertises life time Warranty. If you shoot a rifle very much trouble should show up in under a year I would think. I never have used a warranty on a rifle.
