Weird things to run across when reloading

Fed cartridge brass for 300WSM.
Weirdest pattern from factory on the outside. It appears mechanically induced because it has a distinct pattern and a somewhat diamond shaped indent. Can be felt with my trusty paper clip I use for case separation inspection.
These are scrap as far as I'm concerned. Just wanted to share.

You want weird.
I bought several 100 round boxes of unprimed Winchester 30-06 brass for my 338-06. All had the same lot # and I didn't open each box for inspection after purchase. Took my time opening and prepping them.
Anyway, I was about 3 1/2 boxes in when I grabbed another handful of cases and started loading the case block and noticed no flash hole in a case. Because I sized the previous cases without a decapping pin, I started looking closer.
There were several cases in each box with no flash holes, it worked out there were 82 cases without flash holes punched, 2 cases with pleated necks and 1 with folded shoulder.
I bought 8 boxes, so 10% were faulty.
This was the old white box with red Winchester logo printed on top.

I did not know that! They used some nasty jaws for that operation.

When I contracted at ADI/Thales, we would wait while the brass was run through the machines to pull cases prior to the last anneal to do load development.
Those jaws looked exactly like that.
If the jaws malfunctioned, it would often leave marks very similar to those.

I recently discovered primer pockets off center enough that primers will not seat and everybody probably guessed that it is hornady brass. This is the custom match 308 with 168 amax ammo of which my rifle really likes. I was reloading it for hunting ammo so losing some cases is not something to worry about. Until I found this I was planning on getting some hornady brass for just this occasion, I changed my mind on spending any more money on hornady brass.

I was de-capping/resizing a few PPC brass cases that were given to me when the handle of my RCBS RockChucker bottomed out early. Upon inspection, the primer pocket & flash hole were off center to the point that where the firing pin indent was almost at the edge of the primer - I was surprised that primer was activated!
I've run across a few where the flash hole was off center, but this was a 1st where the whole primer pocket was off center. Sri, I didn't make a pic of it.
