If I think there is any chance weather will delay my departure in a leg of my journey I will be taking my inflatable air mattress and inflection/dry bag to lay out on the airport floor. It is is an REI FLASH Insulated 3 season mattress. It is as big as a small loaf of bread and weighs 15 oz. with a 4 oz. inflation bag.

I do not trust that my airline (usually Southwest or United) will put me up in a hotel.
Jus' sayin'...

Well, that's something one must fill AFTER passing thru security. ;o)
But yes, it will certainly take the "edge" off a stay on the floor.

(But so would a nice looking female to keep me company.) OK, at my age that's unlikely unless she's vision impaired.

Just went through this, destination flight cancelled altogether and return delayed three times for a total of almost two hours.
