In case anyone would find this useful I'm sharing the measurements I took off a selection of 7mm bullets (thanks TOM H for providing quite a few). These are just 3ea from a given lot and in no way is intended to imply anything about a specific manufacturer, etc. Just figured others may find it helpful in knowing a ballpark COAL/how far into the case a given bullet may be (if they know their throat length) without having a given bullet on hand.

I just started loaded some 168 Berger Classic Hunting bullets instead of my usual 168 vld. The CH took up quite a bit more case space than the vld when seated the same distance from the lands. Which is probably going to effect load development. However i still managed to fill to my normal charge of h1000 at about 100% -103% case density.
