Unertl Scope Education needed

I would like to learn as much as possible about Unertl scopes , particularly those made during the sixties and seventees. Is there a book that i can purchase. I dont know the difference betwwen the Varmint model or one used for target/bench use. I think I would like to buy a scope from this period, but am clueless. Any help would be greatly appreciated .

The only books I know that can give you the info you seek are the Gun Digests from that period. They are listed on Ebay pretty frequently, usually pretty cheap.
