Building a new rifle. Mainly for hunting but will be doing some target shooting too. Barrel is going to be 22 or 23" carbon fiber with 5R rifling. I will be shooting mainly 150-168 grain bullets. Sometimes I might go up to 175 grain but probably not very often. Will probably be shooting copper bullets like Barnes, E-tips, or Hornady GMX most of the time.
What twist rate should I go with. I was thinking 1-10. Is that too tight? Is 1-11 or 11.25 a better option for the longer copper bullets in 150-165 grain?
