After lusting over them for 2 years, I finally did some horse trading and made room in the safe for these. Browning Hell's Canyon McMillan LR. One in 6.5CRD and one in 300WSM, with the idea of the 6.5 for the trainer, the 300 for hunting. I've shot the 6.5 100 times, and the 300 15, factory ammo only. So far they are both showing promise, especially the 300.

Both rifles nearly identical in fit and finish, both bedded from the factory. The short mag feeds very smooth from the mag (as compared to my rem 700, same caliber) so very pleased as I had a few frustrating moments while hunting (reloading for follow up shot) with that.

My only criticism is the stock trigger, which is quickly and easily improved with the Mcarbo spring kit, dropped both rifles to about 2.4lbs.

Anyway, I was on the fence for a while about going full custom or not, and these rifles basically came stock with almost every upgrade I would have done, so they really fit the bill well for me. If you're looking at these, don't hesitate, they're nice!

I think you already messed up.
The 300 should be for training and the creedmore should be for large game hunting. It is after all the best cartridge ever created.

On a side note it's crazy this popped up. I just placed and order for my twins. Having a 30 Sherman mag made to match my 6.5 creed ultra lite. I use my creed for almost all my hunting but the Sherman can fill that gap for animals at distance. Even though my creed is probably much better at 2 miles for killing elk and stuff.

Congratulations, I love the 300 wsm round haven't tried the 6.5 creed but do like the Grendel! Best of luck with both make sure you treat them equally or one might get jealous of the other one. Lol
