How do you like the glass?
Been looking at one also but just spent a bunch on scale/Autotrickler so I have to wait a while.

Loving the glass, look on the scopes for sale on this site, as someone had a almost new one for sale at a very good price. It was under a post where a guy just sold one.
There's only one (possible) negative and it's relative to ones needs. For me it's actually a positive cause I like the extra weight on the gun it's going on. Weight on the one I purchased is 36-38oz. Similar to the Nightforce ATACR 5-25 model. Everything else seems to be great looking at the reviews and people using them comparing them to other high end optics. The reticle and huge elevation turret with bold numbers is the biggest improvement in a LR scope for me after knowing the glass is excellent quality. Can't wait till it arrives.
Your right the weight is an issue for a lot of folks but like you it doesn't bother me. As it's going on a groundhog/paper puncher set up. I have a 257 Weatherby in a Peak44 stock with a Zeiss Victory (which is on the heavy side) but the whole set up is only around 7lbs which makes it great for a hunting set up. But I have been blessed to have owned some really nice upper end scopes, but for the price point the Tracts are on you can't beat the price for what your getting
I will throw the Meopta 6's in that statement as well as I feel like they are over looked and I have a few and they track and are clear and last time I looked maybe a little bit cheaper (around 1200) for a 5-30x56. But at the Tract price point I can take the money I save and spend it on something else I don't need. But again this is only my two cents, for someone else it may be different.

They look like nice scopes, although some of the reviews on Amazon brought me back to more reading up on them here. FTR I typically take reviews with a grain of salt, but negative reviews do get me doing more homework.
Read a review of this optic by a person that shot it next to his NF ATACR out to 2 miles. He gave the win to the NF because at the 2 mile mark, he could tell the NF was a tad bit crisper. Edges seemed a bit more defined. Everything else from tracking to accuracy and clarity to that range paralleled each other. That NF is double the price so I give the win to the Tractor for my personal needs. I'll not be shooting to 2 miles with it. I've also looked thru them out to beyond 1200 yards next to my personal NF and Leupold scopes. Longevity and durability will be the only thing I'll have to wait to review.

Good info, thanks for sharing. I was looking at their scopes for a .22 Remington 581 I have. The cheap scope I had on it gave up, and for under $250 I might give them a try, then consider them for my 7PRC.
I read the drop test reviews. They failed. I've fell on my rifle/scope while climbing on steep hillsides. Leupolds were the scopes. Wasn't a test but they still passed. These tests are tough to judge because there is no proof the scope failed. One test the reviewer had cheaper weaver strap style rings on the scope. The other were not much better. One test was with good rings and good base. Same as I use and they are bomb proof. They still need proper torque on the screws so still tough to tell what failed. I won't drop my rifle and scope purposefully for any type test. I've never dropped a rifle on the ground accidentally in my entire 50 + years of hunting. It's doubtful I ever will. The drop test is meaningless to me but informative at the same time. I still find it somewhat inconclusive in that we can't know if the scope or the mounting failed. FWIW...I don't think NF is in fear of losing the first place spot in durability and ruggedness. It's proven itself for years and is still currently under military contract proving itself over and over.

If a person is always comparing to a….NF, then that should tell you something. Choose the NF.
Agreed if you need the bullet proof, bomb proof properties of that optic. Personally I'll take the $1200.00 price reduction and opt for the other one for 99.5 % of what I need in a scope. Many may need that NF advantage but not me.
Well, I like the reticle and glass better in the Tract 30mm 4-20 vs the Nightforce ATACR 7-35 I compared it to side by side at dusk. Should I still get the Nightforce?
Can't go wrong with a NF ATACR that's for sure. Question is, will it outperform the Tract for your specific needs ? That was my bottom line
