Tipton Cleaning Rod Problems

I have purchased two 36" .22 - .264 Tipton rods in the last 3 weeks. Both have defective threads on 8/32 female ferrule. The brush or jag threads properly on initial attachment. After one to four uses the theards in the female ferrule give way/strip and on the pull with a brush the brush stays in the barrel. Ditto on the push with a slotted pat h holder. Looked at threads with magnifying glass - they are very shallow... Is Tipton making them in CHINA now, they are crap. Anyone else finding an issue...??

I have Tipton nylon brushes, have not used yet, clearly labeled made in China. Wish I had checked before I bought.

I have 4 Tipton rods that I have abused for years. Even contemplating a 5th one... That's for the heads up.

I've bought a couple of the Shooters Choice stainless rods that I'm not one bit disappointed in, they work great and hold up. They're Made in USA and also come in coated stainless and brass. A little more expensive than the cheap rods but I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them. You can buy them from several places online.
