thinking about getting a 300wsm is it worth it

how is this round. barrel life/range/ heaviest bullets that can be used.

A very good,efficent round,even more so in a custom gun.I shoot 210s in a 300RSAUM,which has a little less capacity than the WSM and can get them close to 2800 with good accuracy so the WSM would probably do a little better.If your looking for ultramag velocities this isnt the round for you.The 7mms in these configurations are also very well recieved.

whats the barrel life? how many reloads on them cases 210 at 2800 whats the load? what range does it goes subsonic

We have been using the 300 WSM in 1k BR comp for over 6 yrs. We are getting at least 2x the life of other mags. My first barrel went over 2300 rounds and still took 9th at the 1K Nationals (shot 3 sub 7" ten shot groups back to back). I have a friend with over 3000 rnds and still winning with the gun.

It will shoot a 210 up to 3000 fps in a good custom action and 28" barrel.

IMO best bullet for hunting would be in the 180-190 class.

My carry LR gun is a 300 WSM also with 26" Lilja.
