The family and I had a great year first hunt was my bull elk archery hunt and wife's and I first year wedding anniversary started the evening before my hunt my cousin spotted a mountain lion at 580 yards he didn't bring his gun went to camp got the 6.5 prc and made a great shoot and dropped him Six days later after chasing bulls all morning toke a nap under a tree to get woken up at 2:30 from a bugling bull in the afternoon snuck up on him at three cows that were cover buy trees and bushes had a good wind and stayed 20 yards away for an hour finally cows left and he followed I paralleled him walking and he stopped in some trees to rake waited 10 mins and he stepped in my window for a 35 yard hard quarter shoot threw the lungs and buried broadhead in his opposite front shoulder blade and watched him drop In 30 yard's. Next was a cousewhitetail hunt was a tuff hunt lots of forks spikes and does found one I wanted 5 days later new 6.5 saum dropped him at 625 and even got to help a friend harvest too. Next was the wife's only girls hunt got a cow at 300 yards on day three so proud she did this and accomplish it The best hunt of the year was my daughters Javelina Hunt with the 243 at 167 yards she shoot and with huge eyes looks back at me says " I dropped him dad" 2023 was a great year
