Our favorite LongRange hunting bullet for big game. Devastating on this moose. Great job Tim. 215 and 230 target hybrid from berger

I shot the 215s for a bit but prefer the 230's. They're flat nasty at 2980 from a 30 nos.

I'm running 180 Hybrids at 2840 from a 20 inch 7 Saum this year and expect similar results. Nearing the end of load development and looks like a consistent 1 inch at 300 yards. Taking it to 600 next week and 1200 in mid Oct. Should be ready for a NM Mule hunt in Nov.

Here's a pic of a couple small Texas WT doe and the kill zone from a 150 WT buck. That's a chunk of lung next to my boot.

I've killed two cow and one bull elk with them. None of the three have taken a step but the bull took two shots very well placed at 550 yards. He somehow got to his feet after several minutes but wasn't moving, just standing with his legs spread and locked and his head down. I knew he was done but he was also on a steep slope with about 400 feet to the bottom of the canyon. One more to the high shoulder stopped any thoughts of making it to the bottom of that canyon.

When you have a cavity this size, it doesn't really matter if it's pointed or not, or tipped. It's going to buckle upon impact and then produce excellent expansion.

That said, I tend to limit my max range to an impact velocity of 1600fps with pointed versions of the hybrids, whereas I'm comfortable going down to 1400fps with non pointed versions. That's just me though.

How about injecting some oil in that big cavity and getting some cool vapor trails?
