G'day,

Has anyone on here had a chance to give a swaro X5 a good workout? I'm in the process of piecing together a 338 edge for long range Sambar hunting here in Victoria, Australia. I'm still undecided as to what scope to put on top, but the X5 is certainly an option. It's just very hard to find unbiased, first hand, field based thoughts on the internet at this stage. Particularly the 5-25x56 1/8moa model.

Any input appreciated.

Cheers!

Stay tuned.

I am shooting one this month and will offer my thoughts early in April.

So far I am very impressed.

I'm very much looking forward to reading this review too. Hopefully not too long to wait?

I haven't handled one yet but from what I can glean from someone who has is that they (Swarovski) have got this one right. Audible positive clicks and oodles of elevation range. Unlike the Z6 BT which I handled a while ago which had very spongy adjustments. I gave it straight back.

Anyway hopefully Len will put us out of our misery st some point very soon.

I have handled one and can confirm the clicks are very sharp and precise. Glass is magnificent too. But I still have not used one in the field, nor heard a review from someone who didn't get one given to them for free for testing purposes, or someone associated with them.

I ordered a 2nd one for my personal use. I am a little behind in my review article writing.

But...it will be very favorable. I am most impressed.
