Suggestions please

I'm a new member with a great wife who bought me a Savage 111 in .338 Lapua for my birthday. I ordered a Vortex Viper PST scope (6-24). Can anyone recommend the mount heights for this combo? I have seen high/medium/low. The gun will be used for long range shooting and possibly long range hunting if my luck can improve on the New Mexico draws.

you for got to say if it was a 44 or 50 mil scope ???? if its a 50 my vortex looks good setting in high rings on a savage 11 LRH
