So i just got my bell and carlson stock and i want to paint it gap camo. What kind of paint do u recomend. Should i duracoat it or can u cerakote it. Or ive read something about a dip. Ive never painted a stock before so any advice on what material or how to apply is really appreciated.

If it is a composite, i.e. plastic, I used Krylon camo paints. If it's wood, you need to be sure to seal it before doing any painting.

There are several company's making dip kits. Hydrographics being one of the most popular. You can even do it yourself.

It's even fun to do it all yourself. I made 3 different pattens. Panzer, tall grass, and sponge.

The only caveat about painting is make sure your surface is completely ready first, from filling and sanding to primer and tape and mask. Down to about 600 for me.
