Staball HD

I was curious if anyone has tried Winchester Staball HD in a 300 winmag? Has anyone tried it in any cartridges? If so, then let's hear some results.

I'm thinking about trying some in a 300 winmag with a 1-9 twist using 215 hybrid bullets.

Thanks!
I have tried it with the 212 eldx in 300 win mag, it shot around 2816 in 85 degree weather.
26" barrel
I capped out at 78.5 gr of staball HD with new Peterson brass, that was a compressed load with a 3.57 OAL.
I did some not so scientific tests by putting 2 rounds in the freezer then going out and shooting them. My velocity on those 2 shots was 2802 and 2840, so it seems to be decent with temp stability. Strangely enough I got pressure signs with the freezer rounds but not the 85 degree ones, even though they had nearly the same velocities.

Just tried 2 shots with it yesterday in a 26", 1:9, 300WM, brand new barrel, new Peterson Long brass, so take with a grain of salt.

80° F
208 ELD-M, 3.575 OAL, 0.020" off lands.
76.0 gr = 2823
77.7 gr = 2856

Obviously something not quite right, as 1.7 gr difference should be more like 50-60 fps, but a sample size of 1 each isn't exactly statistical gold...

Neither load had even the slightest hint of pressure, so I suspect I could run it up quite a bit from there. It's pretty voluminous stuff, so I suspect I'll run out of case capacity at or before I run into pressure. Reports of "similar to Retumbo" seem spot on to me.

Hodgden lists all the way up to 81 gr with the 208 a max, i wouldn't trust that at all though considering I hit pressure with 78.5 and a 212 eldx. I had a fair bit of compression with this load but who knows, it might just be the eldx construction.

My normal 300 WM load is 200gr ELD-X and RL-26. I worked up the same bullet with Stabal HD a month or so ago. First pic is RL-26 load. Second is Stabal-HD load. RL-26 load is 2930 fps. Staball HD is 2850 fps
