The 30 cal 110 VMax on deer sized game launched around 2300 fps? Is it viable or am I better jumping to the 125 SST?

Have not shot the Vmax but have been shooting a few mule deer does and small bucks with 110 speer hp and barnes 110TAC's in a 16" black out Youths have shot 11 deer with these, and the farthest chest shot went maybe 100 feet before tipping over. Most shots between 60 and 130 yards.

Shot 125 ballistic tips last year with about the same results

I know a group of guys who call the 30 cal 110 Vmax the blender. I won't go into why it's called that but it performs very well ballistically on live tissue.

Yep! In 300 Blk out. Its a short range killer.

Just re-read your op. I was referring to the 110s in a 308 so they were running around the 3000 mark.
