Sightron vs Burris

For varmint/predator hunting Sightron s-3 6x24x50mm or Burris Veracity 5x25x50mm

I don't have the 5-25x50 but I am very pleased with my 4-20x50 Burris Veracity.

Heard many good things about their SFPs, however, their FFPs (unless they have since corrected it) had some issues, check this out ...

I'm curious if any of the above satisfied end users have the FFP.

What issues have you heard about? I'm not 100% sure what that video is supposed to be showing. I've used their FFP 6-24 and found it surprisingly useable down to 10x and even lower. Do I think there are better reticle options for FFP scopes? Absolutely! Would I want to hunt with this one at 6x? Not really but it can be done.

You can barely see the reticle at low magnification.

Agreed that it's difficult to see at low magnifications. If you plan on staying between 10-24x it's very useable. I'd probably buy the SFP but my buddy runs the FFP and has no complaints.

I would give a slight edge to the S3 but I don't know why Sightron puts an elevation turret on their windage turret instead of a right-left numbered one.

I have a Burris Veracity 5 x 25 x 50 and am very happy with it. It rides on a 338 RUM and has good glass, repeatable turrets, and a zero stop. Never had a Sightron so I can't compare.
