Shooting stick bipod poles versus heavy bipod

Ihave 3 different makes of bipods, for speed goats I like the Harris,or Atlas, for hiking I use the Snipe pod, made in MT. 4-6 OZ. MANY sizes, it is a comp. cord inside alum. small tubes like you would use for tent pole,small adapter goes on rifle, I use 27'' SIZE most, not as ridgid, but I take more time on set up. I have flopped on 2' snow at timberline and it kept me up out of the snow
