I'm thinking if I should buy a rifle from a friend but can't decide what to do with it.

I like the setup, but I'm afraid the large bullets won't fit in the action as a repeater. The rifle shoots great using 168 SST and 168 Interbonds, however, I´d like to shoot at least the 178gr ELD-X or even better the 200 gr ELD-X.
Do you think I can fit them in the magazine and get decent performance, let's say 2950fps??
I don´t have a problem rebarreling, I just don't know what caliber would be a nice addition. I was thinking about a 7mm SAUM, but read 180 bergers won't fit in the magazine either.
