second focal plane long range scope?

Swaro, Zeiss, and Leica are SFP, and the Zeiss V8 line is an 8x magnification range. One example is the 2.8-20x56. Swaro z8i comes in 2.3-18x56.

I have never looked through a March but read lots of good things about them. I did get to compare my Bushnell 6500 4 1/2-30X50 with a S&B 12-50X. The other guy found a Toyota pickup about a mile away and told me he was focused on it. Since the only scope ever to display better glass than my Bushnell was my Nightforce 12-50X56 I thought this one would be a little better also. Once I could easily read "Toyota" I then switched to his scope. WOW! is the reaction. Like the first time I looked through some Swarovski 8.5X binoculars.

If you won't be too rough on it you might consider a Leupold competition scope like the benchrest guys use. That would probably be the lightest option.
