If I would have waited I would have killed the bigger buck at about 140 inches but my emotions got the best of me as that but was shielding the bigger buck and once the separated I had about 2 minutes left of legal light and he gave me a shot and I torched it off. Now I'm much more patient when it comes to bucks and I'm willing to let them walk.

This was the buck I shot the next year. Took me till the second to last day and was the best buck I saw in 6 days of hunting.
