You said the same thing though. Why is that only applicable to Burris rings?

They have inserts inside their signature rings to set amount of cant. You used them as an example to I figured you knew that. If you didn't then you do need to do some homework.

I used Burris Sig rings as an example because I have used them a lot. I am fully aware how the insert system works. My question is why does rail placement only apply to the Burris Sig rings to get the amount of cant desired?

ETA: I guess it might only apply to the Burris Sig rings because one is setting a cant within a cant...even then, distance on the rail matters.

You are getting it. With regular rings and a 20 moa base they are on the same plane so distance means nothing. With Burris they are setting more cant and the distance means something.
 
I'm with Rob or Feenix on this...i'd move at the very least...the back one forward one notch...but you will know if/when the power ring gets stiff...just me.

Help me understand why distance on the rail matters with their induced cant, but doesn't on the rail cant. Because they are taking into account the distance of the rail cant with their induced cant.

Because they are adding more in two places that when moved farther or closer it effects the amount. On a 20 moa base with standard rings or bases it's a constant cant so doesn't matter where on the mount the rings are placed as they are parallel to the base. No extra cant. It's pretty simple to understand.

Ok, that statement right there is classic condescension. I could say that to untold members here trying to understand a concept, but I'm not a dic like you. None of us know it all and we are all students to the grave. You need to be reminded of that "simple" advice.
