I have a sako finnbear with the built in tapered scope base. I am looking for rings to mount a scope which is 'dove tail' style. Any suggestions? The only ones I can find are from Leupold, but was told that they would not hold well on a Sako. Any advice is appreciated.

I have and have had many Sako's. The Leupold rings will hold just fine, they
actually look much cleaner than the old factory Sako's. The Sako's integral bases are tapered bigger toward the front of the reciever. This is the way a scope ring would attempt to move during recoil. It is a good design and has
stood the test of time. I have had several sets of Leupold Sako rings on
different calibers of rifles. Including a .338-8mm Rem. Mag and a .375 Ultra Mag without any problems. Both rifles were in the 8.5 -10.5 pound range.

Hope this helps.
